Event Center Policies

We look forward to meeting you and planning your event. We provide these simple policies to help things to move along smoothly. If you have any questions about anything please feel free to call us.

We want your event to be the best!

Rental Contract
One-half of rental rate and a signed contract are required to book an event.

All rental costs are to be paid in full three months prior to event.

Reservations cancelled three or more months, before the event date, will be refunded in full less a $100 processing fee. All refunds will be processed in the same method as the payment received.

Any cancellation within three months of event will result in forfeiture of all rental fees.

Events at Dowds’ Inn Event Center accepts the following forms of payment: cash, check, Visa and MasterCard.

Non-Profit Discount
Non-profit organizations, such as charities, but not private individuals or governmental organizations, are entitled to a discounted rate for an event classified as a fundraiser only. Documentation, such as a copy of a 501 (c) (3) determination letter, verifying the organization’s status as a tax-exempt charity or nonprofit organization, must be submitted along with the contract and required deposit.

Catering & Beverage Service
Catering services are also available from Dowds’ Inn and Catering. If you decide to use your own caterer then a contract with a licensed caterer, approved by the Dowds’ Inn Event Center, will be required.

A security deposit of $500 is required by the caterer, to cover any damages, loss, or subsequent cleaning expenses.

Caterers are responsible for leaving the facility in the same condition as when they arrived prior to the event.

All trash, recyclables, food, beverages, and equipment must be removed immediately following the event.

Any liquor service, which includes beer and wine, requires a permit and liquor liability coverage.

Technology and Audio Capabilities
The facility is equipped with an Audio Visual system to meet a large variety of needs.

Operation of the equipment may require employment of a technician at the expense of the client.

On-site tech support prices range from $100 to $125 per hour.

Any additional A/V equipment can be provided by Dowds’ Inn Event Center and will be paid for by the client.

Event Rentals
Decorations, rental furniture, and/or equipment may be delivered one day prior to the day of the event.

Decorations, rental furniture, and/or equipment must be removed at conclusion of the event.

The Dowds’ Inn Event Center staff is not responsible for moving, setting up, taking down, or any loss with respect to any additional rental equipment.
